Light Rail service slightly affected after traffic accident
 
A small section of Light Rail service between Good View Garden Stop and Tuen Mun Ferry Pier Terminus (four stops) was affected this evening (13 October) after a traffic accident at the junction of Wu Shan Road and Wu King Road.
The accident occurred at 8:06 pm.A Light Rail train on Route 614 and a light goods vehicle were involved.Police are investigating the cause of the accident.Initial investigation revealed that the driver of the light goods vehicle failed to observe the traffic sign and made an illegal right turn at the junction. Two persons were slightly injured in the accident.
Light Rail Routes 507 (Tin King - Tuen Mun Ferry Pier Terminus) and 614 (Yuen Long Terminus - Tuen Mun Ferry Pier Terminus) had to be diverted to Sam Shing Terminus after the incident. A total of six feeder buses were deployed to run between Good View Garden Stop and Tuen Mun Ferry Pier Terminus to relieve affected passengers. The incident site was cleared at 8:58 pm and Light Rail service resumed normal.
During the affected period, Passenger Services Assistants were sent to the affected stops to provide assistance to passengers. Platform announcements were made to inform passengers of the service change.
The KCRC apologises to passengers for any inconveniences caused by the incident.
