EMU night test
A few test runs on KCR East Rail will be carried out in the early morning of 4 November after the close of traffic between Hung Hom and Lo Wu stations.
The test runs will only involve about four and five trips in both up and down directions. "The test will be useful for us to confirm the performance of a new energy saving system of our trains," a spokesman for KCR East Rail said. In order not to affect the train services in the daytime which are used by over 770,000 passengers daily, the test runs can only be carried out in the midnight after the close of traffic.
The KCR East Rail apologised for the inconvenience caused.
