New waste paper recycle bins at KCR East Rail
In support of environmental protection, starting from the end of October, specially designed waste paper recycle bins have been pressively placed at all East Rail stations to collect used newspapers, magazines and waste paper for recycling.
Mr Anthony Yan, KCR East Rail Customer Services Manager said, "Since 1991, we have already been placing waste paper recycle bins at all East Rail stations. With the move of environmental protection concept in Hong Kong, the original recycle bins were no longer sufficient for the amount of waste paper collected. We, therefore, will replace the old ones with 30 bigger and more attractive recycle bins. With the new waste recycle bins located at the busy areas of the stations, we hope that more passengers will be encouraged to support waste paper recycling."
