KCRC and Moscow Circus jointly organise ‘Mini Circus School’
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) and Worldwide Entertainment Limited jointly organised a ‘Mini Circus School’ today at which more than a hundred children and teenagers from less fortunate backgrounds along KCR East Rail were invited to attend.
Following the success of the‘KCRC Night at Moscow Circus’ held on 8 January, KCRC and the Moscow Circus joined hands again to organise the ‘Mini Circus School’ at the big top tent located near the KCR East Rail Tai Wai Station. At the ‘Mini Circus School’, the participants were taught simple circus arts by the performers from the circus.
"KCRC has a very close tie with the community. Apart from supporting various community activities along the railway, we also arrange visits and talks for the schools and community groups regularly so as to enhance their understanding of the operation of KCR East Rail. We hope that today’s ‘Mini Circus School’ will bring the children from less fortunate backgrounds some fun and provide them with a better exposure to the community", said Mr Y T Li, Deputy Director of KCR East Rail.
The ‘Mini Circus School’ today was well attended by over 150 children of chronically ill, orphan’s homes and special schools with mild grade handicapped students. The participants and the performers from the circus had a very wonderful time at the event.
