All-night KCR East Rail and KCR Light Rail train services on Chinese New Year’s Eve
 
KCR East Rail and KCR Light Rail will provide all night services on Chinese New Year’s Eve and will strengthen their services during the holidays for the convenience of the travelling public.
KCR East Rail will provide an all night train service between Hung Hom and Sheung Shui on Chinese New Year’s Eve (23 January). From 12 midnight to 2:00 am, trains will run at a frequency of every 6 minutes. Starting from 2:00 am, train services will be maintained at a frequency of every 10-15 minutes. On 24 & 25 January, the first two days of the Chinese New Year, train services will be extended with the last northbound train to Sheung Shui to depart from Hung Hom at 1:30 am, while the last southbound train to Hung Hom to depart from Sheung Shui at 1:00 am.
On 25 January, the second day of Chinese New Year, train services between Hung Hom and Sheung Shui will be strengthened after the fireworks display at Victoria Harbour and train will run at a frequency of every 4 minutes between 8:30 pm and 10:00 pm.
On 26 January, the third day of Chinese New Year, train services will also be strengthened to facilitate passengers going to Che Kung Temple and Shatin Racecourse.
KCR Light Rail will provide overnight services for all Light Rail routes on Chinese New Year Eve (23 January). Service hours of auxiliary bus route A70 (Tin Shui - Yuen Long west Circular) and feeder bus routes 521 (Fu Tai - Tai Lam) will also be extended to 2:00am after mid-night on Chinese New Year Eve.
During Chinese New Year holidays (from 24 to 26 January), the frequency of all light rail routes and bus routes will be strengthened to cope with passenger demand.
