Into the year 2001 with Trackrecord

The capital projects that are shaping the future of KCRC and Hong Kong’s transport industry are the focus of the latest issue of Trackrecord.
In our lead story we highlight the recent signing of $5,100 million worth of contracts for two of the East Rail Extensions. Having received the go-ahead by the Chief Executive in Council, construction on the Ma On Shan Rail and the Tsim Sha Tsui Extension can now officially proceed.
Two other stories in the current issue look at the progress that has been made on West Rail up to the beginning of the year. In one of these stories we feature the completion of the Pat Heung Road viaduct, a project milestone for West Rail. The entire project, as we discuss in the other story, is now about 35% complete and on schedule for its opening in December 2003.
Also in the current issue are stories on the first contract to be awarded for work on Light Rail, which will be expanded into a feeder system for West Rail, the Corporation’s continuing charitable activities, customer service initiatives by East Rail, and more.
