Overnight test runs on KCR East Rail

Test runs will take place on KCR East Rail in the early morning of 18 August after the close of traffic between Tai Po Market and Sheung Shui stations.
The test runs will be kept to an absolute minimum. "The findings of the test runs will be useful for improving of the signalling system," a spokesman for KCR East Rail said. In order not to affect the train services in the daytime which are used by over 780,000 passengers daily, the test runs can only be carried out in the midnight after the close of traffic.
KCR East Rail apologised for the inconvenience caused.
