Light Rail service partly affected by trespasser
A section of Light Rail service (4 stops) was interrupted for 45 minutes this afternoon when a man trespassed onto the tracks near Butterfly stop at about 3:50 p.m.
The man was hit by a Route 615 light rail vehicle approaching the south bound platform of Butterfly stop. The injured was rescued by firemen and rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital. He was later certified dead.
Light Rail service resumed normal at about 4:35 p.m.
During the incident, KCRC deployed eight feeder buses to provide emergency service for passengers.
A KCRC spokesman apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
