Light Rail re-arranges bus service in Tin Shui Wai

Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) will strengthen the service of two Light Rail bus routes in Tin Shui Wai from 18 August (Sunday) by enhancing service frequency and coverage.
The coverage of feeder bus route 659 (Tin Heng – Tin Shui Wai Town Centre) will be extended from the north to the south of Tin Shui Wai. It will run as a circular route and the service hours will be extended by 30 minutes from 11:30 pm to midnight.
Service on auxiliary bus route A70 (Tin Shui – Yuen Long West) will also be strengthened. Additional buses will be deployed, increasing service frequency from 12-20 minutes to 10-15 minutes.
With these enhancements, fares for the above two routes will remain unchanged.
From the same day, auxiliary bus route A71 will be cancelled. The buses plying route A71 will be deployed to serve routes 659 and A70 to provide more efficient services.
The Traffic and Transport Committee of Yuen Long District Council has been consulted and members generally supported the above service arrangements.
Publicity such as notices, leaflets and public announcements will be made to inform passengers about the service arrangements.
