Light Rail service partially interrupted due to typhoon

A short section of Light Rail service between Siu Hong Stop and Tin King Stop (three stops) was affected this afternoon (11 September) when a tree fell onto the Light Rail overhead line due to strong wind and caused a power supply failure.
The incident happened at about 12:45 pm when a tree fell onto the Light Rail overhead line near Siu Hong Tuen Mun Government Primary School. During the affected period, Light Rail routes 505 and 615 had to be diverted. A total of five feeder buses were deployed to run between Siu Hong and Tin King to relieve affected passengers.
After emergency repair, Light Rail service was resumed at about 1:45 pm.
