Light Rail service partially interrupted

Light Rail service between Siu Hong and Hung Shui Kiu (five stops) was interrupted after a route 505 light rail vehicle’s front wheels went off track when approaching Siu Hong stop at about 7:50 a.m.
During the incident, service of routes 610, 614, 615 and 720 at the affected section was suspended, and the north bound service of route 614 between Siu Hong and Pui To was also affected. 20 feeder buses were immediately deployed to shuttle passengers between stops in the affected section.
Full Light Rail service resumed at 10:20 a.m. upon completion of the re-railment of the affected vehicle.
Continuous platform announcements were made to inform passengers of the service disruption and staff were deployed at stops to assist passengers.
The cause of the incident is under investigation. The Corporation apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers. Affected passengers can obtain a refund at Light Rail Customer Services Centres.
