All-night KCR East Rail domestic train service on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve
 
KCR East Rail will provide an all-night domestic train service on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve (24 and 31 December) and extend service on Christmas Day (25 December) for the convenience of the travelling public.
On Christmas Eve (24 December), an all-night service between Hung Hom and Sheung Shui stations will be provided. Trains will run at a frequency of every six minutes between midnight and 2:00am, 10 minutes between 2:00am and 3:30am and 15 minutes between 3:30am and 5:30am.
Train services will also be extended on Christmas Day (25 December). The last Sheung Shui bound train will depart from Hung Hom Station at 2:00am and arrive at Sheung Shui Station at 2:34am, while the last Hung Hom bound train will depart Sheung Shui Station at 2:00am and arrive Hung Hom Station at 2:34am.
On New Year’s Eve, all-night service will be provided between Hung Hom and Sheung Shui stations. Trains will run at a frequency of six minutes between midnight and 2:00am, 10 minutes between 2:00am and 3:30am and 15 minutes between 3:30am and 5:30am.
A spokesman for the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation said close co-ordination will be maintained with government departments and boundary authorities during the holidays. Train services will be regulated to tie in with the handling capacity of the boundary facilities both on the Hong Kong and Shenzhen sides during peak periods.
