Public Consultation Group established
KCR East Rail will provide an all night domestic train service on Chinese New Year’s Eve and will strengthen its service during the holidays for the convenience of the travelling public.
The Group will be chaired by Mr Vincent Lo, a non-executive member of the Managing Board. Other members include Mr Wan Man-yee, a non-executive member of the Managing Board, Mr K Y Yeung, Chief Executive Officer of the KCRC, the Directors of East Rail, Light Rail, and West Rail, and the General Manager, Corporate Affairs.
In addition, 20 representatives of passengers of different areas served by the Corporation’s network have agreed to become members. They are:
Chairmen of Traffic and Transport Committees of the 10 District Councils served by the Corporation:
1. Mr Chan Ping (Tai Po District Council)
2. Mr Lam Chiu-lun (Tsuen Wan District Council)
3. Mr Lam Ka-fai (Sham Shui Po District Council)
4. Dr Law Wing-cheung (Yau Tsim Mong District Council)
5. Mr Leung Wing-kuen (Kwai Tsing District Council)
6. Mr Man Fu-wan (Yuen Long District Council)
7. Mr So Shiu-shing (Tuen Mun District Council)
8. Mr Wong Sing-chi (North District Council)
9. Mr Wong Lung-tak (Kowloon City District Council)
10. Mr Yeung Cheung-li (Sha Tin District Council)
Ten representatives of Passenger Liaison Groups advising East Rail and Light Rail:

A spokesman for the Corporation said the Group will provide an opportunity for passengers’ representatives to raise concerns on operational and service matters directly with senior management of the Corporation.
"It will also give the Corporation an opportunity for consultation with the wider community on proposals being considered.
"However, the Group will not replace existing contacts at a working level between the Corporation and the district councils and passenger liaison groups. These will continue unchanged," he said.
The Group will meet regularly, normally once quarterly.
