KCRC revises Light Rail luggage regulation
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) will revise its luggage regulations for controlling the size of luggage that can be carried onto light rail vehicles, effective from 10 February (Monday).
Under the new regulations, each Light Rail passenger may carry one luggage item whose total dimensions (length + width + height) do not exceed 170 cm and no one side exceeds 130 cm.
This revision brings the regulation in line with KCR East Rail and is similar to those adopted by other major transport operators in Hong Kong.
Passengers who fail to comply with the regulation will not be allowed to continue their journey and will be liable to prosecution and a maximum penalty of HK$3,000.
For enquiries, passengers may call the Light Rail Hotline: 2468 7788.
