Inaugural meeting of Public Consultation Group held
 
The Public Consultation Group on Railway Operations (PCG) of the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) held its first meeting last night (3 March 2003).
At the meeting chaired by Managing Board member Mr Vincent Lo, PCG members were briefed on current improvements to East Rail and Light Rail and the progress of West Rail and East Rail Extensions.
Also attending the meeting were Mr Wan Man-yee, a non-executive member of the Managing Board, Chief Executive Officer Mr K Y Yeung, Senior Director, Capital Projects Mr James Blake, the Directors of East Rail, Light Rail and West Rail, and the General Manager, Corporate Affairs.
KCRC set up the PCG in January this year and is the first public transport operator to provide a forum for a regular dialogue between senior management and passengers’ representatives.
Members include chairmen of the Traffic and Transport Committees of the ten District Councils within the Corporation’s constituency and ten representatives of Passenger Liaison Groups of East Rail and Light Rail.
