Hip hop dance competition at Sun Tuen Mun Shopping Centre
 
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation’s (KCRC) Sun Tuen Mun Shopping Centre will join hands with Youth Outreach "Hang Out" to organise an open hip hop dance competition. The champion will be offered a free trip to Taiwan to join the Hip Hop Park 2003.
The contest will take place at Sun Tuen Mun Shopping Centre, starting at 2pm on 14 September 2003 (Sunday). The panel of judges includes professional hip hop dancers, artiste Ms Bernice Liu and KCRC General Manager, Property Services, Mr S M Li. Singer Ms Wancy Dai will be the performing guest.
Contestants, who must participate in teams of four, can register for the competition from today to 5pm on 12 September by sending an email or fax to Youth Outreach. They can also register in person. The competition will accept up to 16 teams. The total value of the prizes will be about $36,000.
In addition, KCRC’s shopping centres will organise a series of break dance performances. Free break dance and graffiti courses will also be organised for anyone who makes a purchase of $50 or more at the shopping centres on a first-come first-served basis.
KCRC’s shopping centres include Citylink Plaza, Pierhead Plaza, Sun Tuen Mun Shopping Centre, Hanford Plaza and Plaza Ascot.
