Light Rail service briefly disrupted
Light Rail service over a short section between Fung Tei and Pui To (five stops) in Tuen Mun was slightly disrupted at about 5:30 am this morning (7 October). The disruption was caused by the stalling of a West Rail construction vehicle on the track at Light Rail Siu Hong Stop.
As a result, service at the section on route 614 heading for Tuen Mun Ferry Pier was affected, and feeder buses were deployed to shuttle passengers between Siu Hong and Yau Oi.
Service resumed normal soon after the stalled vehicle was cleared from the site at 6:27am. As the incident occurred well before the morning peak hours, only a small number of passengers (about 150) were affected by the incident.
During the incident, continuous platform announcements were made to inform passengers of the service disruption, and staff were deployed at stops to assist passengers.
The Corporation apologises for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
