|The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation today announced that Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets for the Chinese New Year period (10 January to 8 February 2004) will go on sale starting at 6 am on 7 December 2003 (Sunday).|
|On the first day of ticket sales, passengers will be able to purchase Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets at four designated sales outlets, including the KCR East Rail Intercity Passenger Services Centre at Hung Hom Station, China Travel Service (HK) Ltd (Wanchai and Mong Kok branch offices only) and China Railway (HK) Holdings Ltd (Head office at Chatham Road South).
|Starting from 2 pm on the same day, Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets for Chinese New Year will be available at the Through Train ticket counters of KCR East Rail/Light Rail stations and all other sales outlets.|
|Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Trains stopped calling at intermediate stations since 1 October 2003. Only tickets between Hung Hom and Beijing West/Shanghai Stations will be put on sale on 7 December, and no tickets for the intermediate stations on these lines will be available.|
