At today's opening ceremony, KCRC Chairman Mr Michael Tien said, "In the past few weeks, the trial run of West Rail has achieved outstanding result. The punctuality and service delivery have reached 99% and 99.6% respectively."
He said, "This public ride also lets the station front line staff gain the first hand railway operating experience, which is very valuable for the staff in providing better service after West Rail is put into operation."
The West Rail will be open to the public at 2:00pm this Saturday (20 December 2003).
