West Rail service interrupted after power supply system failure
 
West Rail service north of Tsuen Wan West Station (both directions) was affected this evening (4 January) due to the failure of the power supply system at about 8:00 pm.
During the incident, additional trains were deployed to supplement the service. The frequency of service was maintained at about 8 to 10 minutes. The journey time was extended for about 10 to 12 minutes.
Public announcements and notices were made to inform passengers of the service disruption at stations. Staff were deployed at stations and the trains running between Tsuen Wan West Station and Kam Sheung Road Station to provide assistance to passengers.
The Corporation apologized for any inconvenience caused to passengers.
The power supply system was resumed at 11:25 pm and service resumed normal.
