KCRC introduces new bus route K73
(15 April 2004, Hong Kong) The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) will introduce a new feeder bus route K73 on 18 April 2004 (Sunday) in order to bring greater convenience to passengers.
Route K73 (Tin Heng - Yuen Long, via Tin Sau Road and Long Ping) will operate at a frequency of 6 to 15 minutes from 5:50 am to 11:30 pm.
The fare for bus K73 is $3.7 for adults, and $1.8 for children and senior citizens. West Rail and Light Rail passengers using Octopus cards on this route are entitled to free feeder service.
The new feeder bus route will cover the major areas currently served by KCR bus routes A70 (Tin Shui - Yuen Long West) and A74 (Tin Heng - Yuen Long West circular). As a result, these two routes will cease operations on the same day.
Also with effect on 18 April 2004 (Sunday), bus routes 670 (Yuen Long - Long Ping circular), K1X (Long Ping - Tuen Mun Ferry Pier) and A73 (Tin Fu - Tuen Mun Ferry Pier), which have a small number of passengers after the opening of West Rail, will switch from full day service to service only at peak hours. For details, please refer to the information displayed at bus stops.
KCRC has prepared publicity materials such as notices and public announcements to inform the public of the new arrangements. For enquiries, please call the KCRC Hotline at 2929 3399.
