Launch of West Rail Sightseeing Bus
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation will launch a West Rail Sightseeing Bus which will run between six famous scenic spots in the northwest new territories in the Sundays and public holidays between tomorrow, 26 September and 28 November 2004.
West Rail Sightseeing Bus will depart from Kam Sheung Road Station and will run between Kam Tin Shi, Nam Sang Wai, Ping Shan Heritage Trail, Lau Fau Shan, Wetland Park and Yuen Long Town Centre between 10 am and 6 pm at a frequency of every 20 minutes.
To enjoy a free ride on the Sightseeing Bus, West Rail Octopus card users can redeem a boarding pass by presenting the same Octopus card at the ticket office of Kam Sheung Road Station within 30 minutes after exiting the station.
To enable passengers of the West Rail Sightseeing Bus to learn more about the heritage and ecological features of the major scenic spots along the bus route, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department will arrange volunteers to provide tour guide service at Nam Sang Wai, Ping Shan Heritage Trail and Wetland Park between 10 am and 4 pm.
