Appointment of Mr Ng Leung-sing to KCRC Managing Board
 
The Chairman of the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC), Mr Michael Tien, today (Friday) welcomed the appointment of Mr Ng Leung-sing to the Managing Board. Mr Ng is currently Vice Chairman of Chiyu Banking Corporation Limited. He will take up his appointment on 16 November 2004.
Mr Tien said, "Mr Ng has substantial experience in the finance/banking field and public service. We look forward to his joining the Board and having his valuable advice as we continue the work in further improving the Corporation’s services and expanding our network."
Mr Ng will succeed Mr Vincent Cheng Hoi-chuen, who having been a Member of the Managing Board for seven years, will be retiring on 15 November.
Mr Tien said, "I would like to express on behalf of the Board our gratitude and thanks to Mr Cheng for all the hard work, time and effort expended by him on behalf of the Corporation, in particular in relation to his Chairmanship of the Finance Committee."
Mr Tien also welcomed the re-appointments of Mr Wan Man-yee (effective on 16 November 2004) and Mr Vincent Lo Wing-sang and Mr Patrick Blackwell Paul (effective on 24 December 2004) to the Board.
