Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets for Chinese New Year go on sale this coming Sunday
 
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) today announced that Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets for the Chinese New Year period between 29 January and 23 February 2005 will go on sale starting at 6:00 am this Sunday (12 December 2004).
On the first day of ticket sale (12 December), passengers will be able to purchase Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets at four designated sales outlets. They are the KCR East Rail Intercity Passenger Services Centre at Hung Hom Station, the Wanchai and Mong Kok branch offices of China Travel Service (HK) Ltd. and the Tsim Sha Tsui Head Office of China Railway Holdings Ltd. Each passenger is entitled to purchase up to four tickets in each direction.
Starting from 2:00 pm on the same day, tickets for these through trains will also be available at other through train ticket counters of KCR East Rail/West Rail/Light Rail stations and all other sales outlets of the appointed ticketing agents.
Southbound Beijing/Shanghai-Hong Kong tickets on sale in Hong Kong are limited. Passengers who are not able to purchase these southbound tickets in Hong Kong may consider buying them at the Beijing West or Shanghai Railway Station.
