The Corporation also reminded cross-boundary passengers to pay attention to the opening hours of the Lo Wu boundary checkpoint when planning their journey. During the holiday period, the last northbound train to Lo Wu will depart from East Tsim Sha Tsui at the usual time of 11:05pm.
For West Rail, passengers holding the a West Rail Festival Pass on 8 February 2005 are entitled to travel till 5:30 am after midnight on that day.
For passengers returning to the New Territories after the fireworks display on the second day of the Chinese New Year (10 February), East Rail domestic service between 8:30pm and 10:00pm on that day will increase to a frequency of 3 to 4-minute intervals. To facilitate the fireworks display, Police will implement a special road closure arrangement in Tsim Sha Tsui. During the road closure, K16 Kowloon Park Drive and East Tsim Sha Tsui Station bus stops (both directions) will be temporarily suspended. K16 will terminate at the bus stop outside Lai Chark Middle School.
