Special double issue of Trackrecord commemorates the opening of Ma On Shan Rail and the Tsim Sha Tsui Extension
To commemorate the opening of Ma On Shan Rail (MOSR) in December 2004 and that of the Tsim Sha Tsui Extension (TSTE) in October 2004, the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) has published a special double edition of Trackrecord, the Corporation’s staff newsletter.
In the special edition, we cover the commissioning ceremonies of MOSR and TSTE, the major milestones of the two projects, and the various teams behind the successful opening of the two new extensions. Also included are stories on the charity trial rides.
The regular edition of Trackrecord begins with a story on KCRC receiving a Good People Management Award from the Labour Department. This major award recognises Hong Kong companies that best embody good people management practices.
In another story, we reveal the new patronage record of 1.99 million passenger trips achieved by KCRC on Christmas Eve, when East Rail, the newly opened Ma On Shan Rail, West Rail, Light Rail and KCR Bus provided all-night services.
The same issue also reported on KCRC’s fund raising campaign in support of the calls to assist the tsunami victims in South Asia. A total of $1,447,015 was raised.
Trackrecord, the official staff newsletter of the KCRC, is distributed to all employees, the Corporation’s key stakeholders, consulates, senior government officials, the media and community leaders.
