Special arrangements at Tai Wai and Che Kung Temple stations on the third day of the Lunar New Year

The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation will have special arrangements in place at Tai Wai and Che Kung Temple stations in order to facilitate travel to Che Kung Temple on the third day of the Lunar New Year (11 February).
To cope with the expected surge in passenger traffic at both stations, KCRC will work closely with the police and implement crowd control measures at the stations. The frequency of East Rail and Ma On Shan Rail trains will also be enhanced on that day.
Passengers are advised to observe the signage and follow the directions of staff. East Rail passengers going to visit Che Kung Temple are suggested to alight at Tai Wai Station and use exit A at Tsuen Nam Road. Ma On Shan Rail passengers are suggested to alight at Che Kung Temple Station, where they will be directed to use exit A or C and to go to the Temple via the footpath along Shing Mun River. Che Kung Temple will close at 5:30 p.m. on 11 February 2005.
KCRC would like to call on passengers to use Octopus cards in order to avoid queuing for single-ride tickets and to remind passengers not to bring lighted incense, roast pigs or metallic balloons onto KCRC premises.
