East Rail and MOS Rail to strengthen southbound services for the Marathon

The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) will strengthen the southbound train services of East Rail and Ma On Shan (MOS) Rail during the early morning of 27 February (Sunday) to bring athletes to Tsim Sha Tsui to participate in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2005.
Both East Rail and MOS Rail will start their southbound trains about one hour earlier on 27 February. The first East Rail southbound train will depart Lo Wu Station at 4:31am and the first MOS Rail southbound train will depart Wu Kai Sha Station at 4:40am. MOS Rail passengers may interchange for East Rail at Tai Wai Station to go to Tsim Sha Tsui. The trains of the two railway systems will run at a frequency of 10 – 15 minutes during the extended service period.
East Rail and MOS Rail will resume their normal train services at 5:36am and 5:40am respectively.
KCRC will also support this meaningful charity event by sponsoring $27,000 for the five teams of 20 KCRC athletes to participate in the Marathon.
