New promotional offer for direct coach between West Rail Kam Sheung Road Station and Huanggang
 
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) announced that a new promotional offer for the West Rail passengers using direct coach between West Rail Kam Sheung Road Station and Huanggang would commence on 1 March 2005 (Tuesday). The direct coach fare would be reduced from $25 to $20 per journey.
Under the new arrangement West Rail passengers using Octopus card will enjoy an interchange discount of $5 for the second-leg journey or the applicable West Rail fare, whichever is lower. To enjoy the discount, passengers only have to validate their Octopus cards at the cross-boundary bus service counter at Kam Sheung Road Station after a West Rail journey or at Huanggang before boarding the direct coach followed by West Rail. The new offer will last for six months until 31 August 2005.
The current fare package, which offers a through fare of $25 for West Rail and the direct coach service between West Rail Kam Sheung Road Station and Huanggang was introduced on 16 August 2004. KCRC would like to thank passengers for their support and will continue to explore other promotional initiatives to bring more benefits to West Rail passengers.
