West Rail Passengers can enjoy free ride tomorrow
Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) announced today that passengers would be offered a free ride on West Rail during morning peak hours tomorrow (4 August 2005) as a gesture of the Corporation’s goodwill.
KCRC expressed their gratitude to all passengers who showed their tolerance and cooperation during the West Rail signalling incident on 21 July. The Corporation will strive to minimise the inconvenience caused by railway incidents to passengers.
Details of the free ride arrangement on 4 August 2005 are as follows:

•Passengers can ride free on West Rail when they enter the system between the start of traffic to 10:30 am.

•Passengers buying a West Rail One-Month Pass in September will enjoy a $10 deduction.

During this period, the intermodal discount will be affected. Passengers can refer to the notices at stations for details.
