Platform Screen Doors failure at West Rail Tsuen Wan West Station
At 1:23 pm today, the platform screen doors (PSD) at Tsuen Wan West Station could not be opened due to a failure when a southbound train arrived at Tsuen Wan West Station. Since the PSD could not be opened, passengers could not board the train even though the train doors were operated as usual. The train was then driven to Mei Foo Station.
Eight passengers who were waiting at Tsuen Wan West Station could not board the train. Another two passengers had to take a northbound train for return to Tsuen Wan West Station. The incident did not affect operation safety and train services.
The incident was reported to Transport Department. KCRC also apologised to the affected passengers for the inconvenience caused.
