New issue of Trackrecord released
The cover story of the new issue of Trackrecord, the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation’s staff newsletter, reports on the details of the Phase II Improvement Works to be carried out at Lo Wu Station.
The works will raise passenger throughput to 25,000 passenger trips each direction per hour, an increase of 3,000 from the current level. At a cost of $74 million, the Phase II programme will be completed by December 2006. It builds on the $200 million Phase I of the Improvement Works, launched in 2002 and now largely completed.
Another article covers a new collection of art works being displayed at the "KCR Art Corner" in East Tsim Sha Tsui Station. The collection, themed "Shape, Fragment & Impression", was produced by the students of Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Shatin).
KCRC launched the Art Corner earlier this year in support of the promotion and development of local art education. It has also provided a new platform for local artists to share their works with the public.
Trackrecord, the official staff newsletter of the KCRC, is published once a month and distributed to all employees, the Corporation’s key stakeholders, senior government officials, the media and community leaders.
