Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets for Chinese New Year go on sale this coming Sunday
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) today announced that Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets for the Chinese New Year period between 19 January and 12 February 2006 will go on sale this Sunday (27 November 2005) from 6:00 am.
On the first day of ticket sale (27 November), passengers will be able to purchase Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets at four designated sales outlets. They are the KCR East Rail Intercity Passenger Services Centre at Hung Hom Station, the Wanchai and Mong Kok branch offices of China Travel Service (HK) Ltd. and the Tsim Sha Tsui Head Office of China Railway Holdings Ltd. On that morning, each passenger can purchase up to four tickets for each direction (including child ticket).
Starting from 12:00 noon on the same day, tickets for these through trains will also be available at other through train ticket counters of KCR East Rail/West Rail/Light Rail stations and all other sales outlets of the appointed ticketing agents.
Southbound Beijing/Shanghai to Hong Kong tickets on sale in Hong Kong are limited. Passengers who are not able to purchase the southbound tickets in Hong Kong may buy them at the Beijing West or Shanghai Railway Station.
