Seize the Last Chance to Join the KCRC East Rail / West Rail Sightseeing Bus Programme

The East Rail / West Rail Sightseeing Bus programme jointly organised by the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) and the Hong Kong Tourist Industry Employees General Union (the Union) has received overwhelming response from the passengers since its launch. With only three event days (4, 11, and 18 December) left, interested passengers should seize the last chance to join the programme.
To promote the scenic and heritage spots along East Rail and West Rail, the KCRC has launched the East Rail / West Rail Sightseeing Bus programme for eight consecutive Sundays starting 30 October. KCRC provides free sightseeing bus service between Fanling Station and Kam Sheung Road Station with stops at four spots, which are Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail, Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree, Kadoorie Farm and Shui Tau Shui Mei Tsuen.
Passengers joining the tour will be able to learn more about the unique past of Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail and Shui Tau Shui Mei Tsuen with on-spot tour guide service provided by the Union at designated time slots.
"We sincerely thank our passengers for their support to this programme. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Union for their provision of professional tour guides who offer complimentary tour guide service to our passengers," said Mrs Grace Lam, General Manager – Corporate Affairs, KCRC. Passengers are pleased with the arrangement of on-spot tour guide service at heritage spots along KCR, which is the second collaboration between KCRC and the Union.
Interested passengers can purchase KCRC Domestic Travel Pass at East Rail (except Lo Wu Station and Racecourse Station), Ma On Shan Rail and West Rail Stations before 4 pm on the event days.
Passengers using the Domestic Travel Pass, which is available at $30 each (same price for adult and child), can enjoy one-day unlimited rides on East Rail standard class (except Lo Wu Station and Racecourse Station), Ma On Shan Rail, West Rail, Light Rail and KCR feeder bus service. They will also receive a travel guide for free with purchase of the Pass during the promotional period.
Holders of the Domestic Travel Pass are eligible to bring along one child (under 12 years old) or one elderly (above 65 years old) to enjoy the sightseeing bus service for free. The servicing hour of the sightseeing bus is from 10 am to 5 pm. Buses will depart every 15 minutes.
Running alongside with the Sightseeing Bus Programme is a photo competition organised by KCRC and the Union. Photographs taken along East Rail and West Rail featuring scenic spots or people are eligible to compete in the photo competition. For details, please refer to the travel guide distributed at all KCR stations.
