Passengers on a East Rail train affected
At about 9am this morning, due to train regulations, a southbound train was scheduled to terminate at Hung Hom Station. KCRC informed passengers about the arrangement through the announcement on platform and inside train compartments.
When the train called at Hung Hom Station, the traffic controller mistakenly routed the East Rail train to Platform 5 - a platform normally used by through trains. The control centre immediately arranged the train to be berthed at Platform 4 for passengers to alight.
The arrangement incurred a delay of about 10 minutes for the train, but had not affected the services of other East Rail trains and operation safety.
KCRC apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
