No fault found on East Rail train

At 13:22 this afternoon, station staff of University Station suspected that an East Rail train running between East Tsim Sha Tsui and Lo Wu had a defect and arranged all passengers on-board to leave the train safely. The passengers took the next train which arrived at University Station four minutes later. The incident did not affect other East Rail services and passenger safety.
The train was later sent back to the depot for examination. Investigation showed that the train was in normal condition and no fault was found.
KCRC has reported the incident to the Hong Kong Railway Inspectorate.
