Slight interruption of Light Rail service

A visually-impaired passenger fell on the track at platform 1 of Light Rail Ping Shan Stop at around 6:30 pm. He was slightly injured and no need to be sent to the hospital. The passenger left the Stop accompanied with his friend. At the time of incident, there was no Light Rail Vehicle at the Stop. Train service for the section concerned was delayed for 5 minutes.
Yellow tactile routes have been installed at all Light Rail platforms leading the visually-impaired passengers to the waiting and boarding areas. Police are investigating the cause of incident.
KCRC would like to extend its apologies to all affected passengers for the inconvenience caused.
The case had been reported to the Hong Kong Railway Inspectorate.
