KCRC Marathon Express starts early for athletes

The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) will provide special early train service, the KCRC Marathon Express, on 12 February (Sunday) to bring athletes of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2006 to the start point at Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.
To facilitate runners to arrive at the race start on time, KCRC will advance the service hour of the southbound trains of East Rail and Ma On Shan Rail by about one hour earlier in the morning of 12 February. The first East Rail southbound train will depart Lo Wu Station at 4:21am and the first Ma On Shan Rail southbound train will depart Wu Kai Sha Station at 4:30am.
During the KCRC Marathon Express service period, the trains will run at a frequency of 10 to 15 minutes. East Rail and Ma On Shan Rail will resume their normal train schedule at 5:36am and 5:40am respectively.
Organised by the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association, the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. KCRC has been ardently in support of the community event and about 80 staff will participate in the races.
