East Rail incident
 
At 1607 this afternoon, a boy jumped onto the track at southbound platform of Tai Wo Station. The duty Platform Supervisor activated the Emergency Stop Plunger immediately. At the same time, station staff was sent to assist the boy to return to the platform. The boy was not injured.
As a result of the incident, southbound train service was slightly affected for 2 minutes. The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) would like to extend its apologies to all affected passengers for the inconvenience caused.
KCRC has reported the incident to the Hong Kong Railway Inspectorate.
