West Rail service slightly affected
West Rail trains turning around at Nam Cheong Terminus were slightly affected this morning at 10:12am due to tripping of power supply facilities at the railway siding.
As a result, the signalling system reverted to a safety mode, which extended train journey time between Mei Foo and Nam Cheong station by about 10 minutes.
Train services resumed normal at 10:30 am after the power supply system was reset.
Announcements were made at stations and on trains to inform passenger of service delays. KCRC apologises to passengers for the inconvenience caused.
A detailed investigation on the cause of power tripping is being carried out. The incident has been reported to the Government.
