Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets for 2007 Chinese New Year go on sale on 17 December 2006
 
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) announced that Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets for the Chinese New Year period (7 February – 4 March 2007) would go on sale from 6 am on 17 December 2006 (Sunday). Each person can purchase up to four tickets in each direction.
Initially, tickets will be on sale at four outlets from 6 am on 17 December 2006. They are the KCR East Rail Intercity Passenger Services Centre at Hung Hom Station, the Wan Chai and Mong Kok branch offices of China Travel Service (HK) Ltd. and the Tsim Sha Tsui Head Office of China Railway Holdings Ltd.
From 12 noon on 17 December, Through Train tickets for the captioned Chinese New Year period will also be available at all other Through Train ticketing counters of KCR East Rail/West Rail/Light Rail stations and KCRC's appointed ticketing agents.
Southbound Beijing/Shanghai-Kowloon Through Train tickets on sale in Hong Kong are limited. These tickets are also available at Beijing West or Shanghai railway stations.
