Minor delay at West Rail
West Rail services between Nam Cheong and Mei Foo stations were slightly affected this morning at 6:11am, when an axle counter failed south of West Rail Nam Cheong Station. The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) immediately carried out urgent repairs and normal train services at these two stations were resumed at 7:10am.
During the incident period, train services between Nam Cheong and Mei Foo stations ran at 8-minute intervals, while train services between Mei Foo and Tuen Mun stations were not affected. Passengers had to alight at Mei Foo Station and interchange for another train at another platform to continue their journey.
KCRC immediately informed passengers on trains and at stations about the incident and the interchange arrangement. Additional station staff were deployed to provide assistance for passengers.
As the incident happened in the early morning and only Nam Cheong and Mei Foo stations were involved, only a small number of passengers was affected. KCRC apologises for the inconvenience caused to these passengers.
