KCRC launches Commemorative Ticket on 10th Anniversary of Lifeline Express
Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) announced today that the sale of the commemorative ticket on the 10th anniversary of the Lifeline Express will commence tomorrow (Sunday, 3 June 2007).
To mark the 10th anniversary of Lifeline Express in July 2007, KCRC will co-organise with Lifeline Express to arrange one of the hospital eye-trains to return to Hong Kong and be stabled at Fo Tan Freight Yard for a two-day Train Exhibition on 23 and 24 June 2007.
KCRC will also sponsor 20,000 commemorative tickets for the 10th anniversary of Lifeline Express. The ticket, priced at $38, will be valid for unlimited rides on the KCRC network (except Racecourse and cross-boundary journeys) on 24 June (Sunday), the closing day of the Train Exhibition.
All proceeds of the commemorative ticket will be donated to Lifeline Express for the eyesight restoration programme for patients in remote rural areas of Mainland China.
The ticket will be available for sale at ticket offices of East Rail (except cross-boundary and Racecourse stations), Ma On Shan Rail and West Rail stations, as well as at customer services centres of Light Rail.
