East Rail Art Train Open Day
 
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) announced that the newly launched East Rail Art Train would be stabled at Sha Tin and Tai Po Market Stations for visit by the public from 30 June to 2 July 2007.
KCRC launched two specially decorated trains, one on East Rail and one on West Rail to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Design themes of the Art Trains are "Ten Years of Momentum" for the train exterior and "My City, My Home" for the train interior respectively.
The two trains, put into passenger service from 27 June, have been well received by members of the public. In order to facilitate visit by the public, KCRC will stable the East Rail Art Train at Sha Tin Station and Tai Po Market Station from 30 June to 2 July at the following opening hours:

Passengers are reminded that the maximum validity time of a ticket for each journey is 1.5 hours after entry into the paid area. Visitors of the Art Trains who wish to stay longer than 1.5 hours are advised to exit the paid area of the concourse and re-enter with the Octopus or another valid ticket.
Photographs of the Art Trains have also been posted up at KCR Art Corner at East Tsim Sha Tsui Station. The photographs will be on display until the end of August.
KCRC has organised an on-line vote on "My Favourite Art Train Compartment". Members of the public are welcome to log on to KCRC website www.kcrc.com to vote for the train compartment that they like the most. For the service schedule of both the East Rail and West Rail Art Trains, passengers may check with the KCRC Hotline at 2929 3399 or the staff at stations.
