KCRC partners with 16 travel agencies to offer a one-stop service
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) today signed tenancy contracts with 16 travel agencies for the travel gallery at Citylink Plaza atop East Rail’s Shatin Station.
With a total gross floor area of approximately 2,245 sq m, the travel gallery on the 7th floor of Citylink Plaza will accommodate the travel agencies, offering a one-stop service to the growing number of people who enjoy travel.
KCRC Chief Executive Officer, Ir James Blake, said, "Citylink Plaza was once the home of KCRC and many branch Government offices. Now with the eateries, a large workout gym, retail shops and the new addition of the travel agency floor, it has become a leisure hub for gourmets, shoppers, gym enthusiasts and holiday seekers."
This is the first time in Hong Kong that the travel agencies formed a consortium for the leasing of premises together.
Also speaking at the signing ceremony today, the tenants' representative, Mr Alcuin Li, General Manager of Sunflower Travel Services Limited, said, "The Citylink Travel Gallery helps to realise our common vision to provide a more comprehensive travel service to the community. This is also a win-win-win situation for the travel agencies, KCRC and the community."
Renovation works amounting to $6 million have been carried out to re-partition the whole floor. Fitting out is now near completion, and the Citylink Travel Gallery will be open next month (October 2007).
